Ofsted and Performance Data

Ofsted Report

We are delighted to share with you the very positive outcomes from our recent Ofsted inspection, which took place on 7 and 8 May 2025. This was our first inspection since becoming Baildon Glen Primary School, and the report reflects the significant progress we have made together as a school community.

Inspectors described Baildon Glen as a “rapidly improving school”, and it was clear that they recognised the commitment, care and ambition that drives everything we do. Since our conversion to academy status and joining Exceed Academies Trust in 2022, we have worked tirelessly to improve every aspect of school life and this report affirms just how far we’ve come.

We are incredibly proud that Ofsted judged the following areas of our school to be ‘Good’:

• Early Years Provision – where children benefit from a vibrant, engaging environment full of stories, songs and language-rich learning.

• Personal Development – reflecting our strong emphasis on wellbeing, aspiration, safety and healthy relationships.

• Leadership and Management – a recognition that we are focusing on the right priorities, with a clear vision for sustained improvement.

Inspectors praised our ambitious curriculum, the quality of our reading and phonics teaching, and the way we quickly identify and support children with special educational needs. They also recognised how well we help children feel proud of their progress, whether through behaviour rewards, celebration of effort, or growing confidence in their learning.

There are, of course, areas where we need to improve further, and we welcome this feedback. We know that some of our recent changes, particularly in curriculum, writing and behaviour, are still embedding and we are already taking clear action to ensure greater consistency and impact across all areas of school life.

Importantly, the report confirms that our school is moving in the right direction. The foundations are strong, our staff are energised, and our children are thriving. We are proud of how far we’ve come, and excited about what’s ahead.

This progress belongs to our whole community; our pupils, our families, our staff and our Trust. Thank you for the continued support, encouragement and belief you show in our work. Together, we will continue to make Baildon Glen a school where every child can succeed, flourish and feel proud.
